STORM 300

Compact Planetary Brushless Wheel Drive Download Datasheet

The STORM 300 is a new addition in ASI’s wheel drive portfolio.  Designed for either indoor or outdoor mobile robotic applications – such as autonomous surveying, agricultural robotics, or anywhere uneven terrain and uncontrolled conditions are expected – its robust, compact design is ready for IP67 environments, and includes a 24V BLDC motor, a planetary 20:1 ratio, and an optional electromagnetic power-off brake (not shown).  A pair of redundant high-resolution encoders allows the Storm 300 to integrate into a larger robotic system that can meet ISO PLd industrial safety rating requirements, and at only 12.5 pounds and 135 mm in diameter at its widest point, it is a highly space efficient design with high torque density.
